Milou Moon is a Naarm-based psych rock project fronted by French-American artist Emily McGill. It is made up of Em, Sam O’Neil (Sunnyside), George DeSilva (DeSilva, Kerfew), and Jevaan Waldron. Drawing inspiration from the classic psych movement of the 60s and 70s and modern psychedelia like Crumb and Pond, Milou Moon weaves ethereal vocal melodies through lush, textured, harmony-drenched soundscapes to form the essence of their dreamy yet energetic sound.
Milou Moon released their debut EP ‘Trails to Centre’ on March 22, 2024 on dolphin love records (Matahara, Sean Heathcliff) after teasing out three single releases, including their earworm of a debut single "Drawn In" in October 2023. This period has seen them build their fanbase, sell out headline club shows in Naarm, and support a range of artists across Victoria. Milou Moon wrapped a regional tour with good mate Harmony Byrne in May 2024 and have recently returned from playing a string of US shows in August 2024.
